As a School Counselor, my job is to help students and families navigate obstacles that could stand in the way of personal growth and academic success. I have been working in the human services field since 1996 and engaging with students is my passion. I am a Certified School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia.

Hello, my name is Cheryl Thomas Hill, and I am one of the School Counselors at Bay Springs Middle School. I am a Carroll County native, and I attended Carrollton City and Carroll County Schools. After graduating from Mount Zion High School, I attended West Georgia Technical College and Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, AL. I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. I earned my BA in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice, MEd in School Home Services (School Social Work), certifications in School Counseling and Educational Leadership; and my EdS in Professional Counseling & Supervision from the University of West Georgia.
I have over 20 years of experience in Education. Most of my experience has been in Higher Education where I served as Director of Graduate Admissions and Coordinator of the African-American Male Initiative (AAMI) at the University of West Georgia.
